BCycle MY24 DRAWING

 

 As Marketing Specialist for San Antonio BCycle & Nashville BCycle, I created a MY24 BCycle drawings for the Giant factory in Taiwan when the BCycle Product team was between designers. With no prior examples and a tight deadline, I illustrated the bike from scratch, using precise factory color specs to ensure production accuracy.

To navigate the process, I connected with Trek’s color specialist for Illustrator swatches and a Trek designer, who introduced me to the team responsible for Trek’s factory drawings. The result? A production-ready factory drawing that contributed to the next generation of BCycle bikes.

After my promotion to General Manager of San Antonio BCycle, I repurposed the MY24 drawing, quickly recreating the front fork, wheel, and basket to create a polished illustration for BCycle advertising decks—extending the impact of my work beyond production into marketing.


EARTH DAY FREE RIDES

 

As Marketing Specialist for San Antonio & Nashville BCycle, I led the creative execution for BCycle’s Earth Day Campaign, securing a sponsorship from BOSCH to provide free rides across all BCycle-owned bike share systems. With a unified campaign across eight cities, I developed a compelling creative brief, designed branded artwork, and produced video content optimized for Instagram and Facebook reels.

To ensure consistency and engagement across Madison, Santa Barbara, Broward, San Antonio, Boulder, Encinitas, Nashville, and Greenville, I shot and edited campaign videos while crafting social media assets that could also be used by other BCycle operators who wanted to participate. The result? A polished, cohesive campaign that amplified BCycle’s commitment to sustainability while increasing ridership on Earth Day.


BUGS, BIKES & BOTANY

 

I worked with the Director of Nature Equity and Engagement for the San Antonio River Foundation to develop a pilot program funded by a mini grant from Better Bike Share Partnerships. A key component was the Expedition Guide, a foldable, pocket-sized field guide-style map with laminated covers for durability. To ensure accessibility, it was also made available digitally through Bexar County BiblioTech, a digital library bridging gaps in book and technology access.

In addition to organizing demo rides, I conceptualized the Expedition Guide’s layout, hired an illustrator for the laminated covers, and integrated their artwork into the final design. The guide is included in the Adventure Pack, which can be checked out at BiblioTech and provides BCycle passes and tools for exploring bugs and plants along the Mission Reach.


PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO SAMPLING

 

This is a small sampling of my San Antonio BCycle photography, featured in annual reports, classes, and pitch decks to enhance storytelling and bring presentations to life. My goal is to capture the energy, culture, and experience of BCycle riders, helping audiences connect with the impact of bikeshare in San Antonio.

Also included are videos I created for BCycle—a skill I developed during COVID when marketing quickly shifted to digital. I learned to shoot and edit videos on the fly, expanding BCycle’s online presence and strengthening engagement through dynamic visual content.
